Julie Felix jamming

What fun to go to a friend’s 60th and have Julie Felix stroll up to the mic, guitar in hand, to belt out, Forever Young, Going to the Zoo, and a hot Piaf number.

At 74, Julie is still enjoying the circuit (carefully chosen venues to lessen the travel). Since the 60’s Julie has been a major British folk music artist. Her music reflected all the inspiration of her American roots as Bob Dylan and Joan Baez emerged on the scene. Listening to Julie today, there was not a moment’s difference from those days full of idealism and poetry. We had a moment together after her set and I gave her my most heart felt smile and simply said, ‘Just keep on playing. It’s your gift.’ We both knew what that meant. Julie will have a concert at the Royal Albert Hall in the spring. Date to be announced.
